Ada is a courageous and talented single mother and a seamstress who left her home country of Hong Kong to be closer to her daughter who had moved to Australia to start a new life. Ada too faced many challenges, including language barriers and a lack of job opportunities.
Through joining SisterWorks' Richmond Empowerment Hub, Ada has improved her English language skills, made new friends within the community and gained confidence in herself. With the support of a SisterWorks mentor, Ada has been able to turn her passion for sewing into a thriving business, Ga Yae Designs.
Now, Ada's unique and colourful hand-crafted products can be found in SisterWorks' online and retail shop, creating a stronger brand reach and boosting sales for her growing business.
